Non Offending Parenting Group

Adults only, all genders

A psychoeducational group for non-offending parents, guardians, caregivers or family members who have a central role in supporting the recovery of a child or youth who has been abused. This is an 8-week series that addresses safety, safety planning, learning about child abuse, why it happens and who the perpetrators are, ways to protect children and why children may or may not tell of their abuse. The curriculum also covers coping and appropriate communication with abused children, how abuse affects children and families, as well as dealing with challenges associated with abuse.

For parents, guardians, caregivers or family members who have a central role in supporting the recovery of a child or youth who has been abused. Will need MHA.  All referrals to be submitted to Molly. This is a closed group and is offered both on the Westside and the East side. See schedule.

A Mental Health Assessment is required in order to bill health insurance for this group. OHP and some private insurance accepted.
